Glasgow Queen Street Station – Essential Work Completes

Completed entrance to Glasgow Queen Street Station

Essential work taking place (1st  -15th June) to the public areas outside Queen Street is now complete.

The surfacing  to the pavements on West George Street and Dundas Street is to ensure safe, physical distancing measures can be put in place for those accessing the station when passenger flow gradually starts to increase.

Completion of this work also means that the entrance on Dundas Street, which was closed in mid-March, has now reopened – as too has the new gateline just inside Dundas Street, which provides access to the Low Level for platforms 8 and 9.

As mentioned previously, we are awaiting confirmation as to when the remaining elements of the redevelopment work will resume at Queen Street and will provide a further update once we are in a position to do so.
