Accessibility Changes Between Glasgow Queen Street & Glasgow Central

Hello,

The Great Scottish Run is taking place in Glasgow City Centre on Sunday, 30 September.

To accommodate the event, Glasgow City Council will be closing off roads in the city centre – preventing the 398 bus service from running between Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street stations.

This will impact customers who need assistance when travelling between these two stations as the road closures mean we’re unable to offer any alternative travel.

Affected passengers are being asked to book assistance ahead of their journey and to contact us on 0800 912 2901 if they have any questions or concerns. Customers who make a Passenger Assist booking will be offered a taxi to their destination but will be advised of the restrictions around the city centre. It’s expected that taxis will be unable to reach anywhere beyond Cathedral Street, so we’ll be unable to assist onward from there.

Staff who travel to work by bus should also check their journey, as there may be significant disruption on their regular route. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me on 07920507762 or at Andrew.Marshall-Roberts@scotrail.co.uk

Best Wishes,
Andrew
